I was browsing the net for the latest news on Cloverfield and saw an article over at Couriermail about how Cloverfield could be the next blockbuster and they gave reasons on why they came up with that statement. One would be the trailer that was shown before Transformers where it gave no title and just showed a leaving party and a flying statue head and it gave the impression something big was on the rampage and from there the buzz started.

If I didn’t already know what I know about this Cloverfield thing (which believe me is not that much), I would be even more confused by reading that article.
Is it just me, or is it filled with things that have already been debunked? It’s got some typos, and other reporting issues and doesn’t really go anywhere.
Since I don’t know too much about Couriermail, it’s following, or standards I can only assume that it’s a fansite or something similar to what we have here.
Not to mention, can it really be a blockbuster movie if it cost “only” 30 million (That’s still really alot of money.)? We’ve seen one trailer that’s rumored to have been shot by JJ and company themselves.
And why is everyone making a big deal about not knowing the title of the movie? The point is that people are talking about it by many names so it seems they have their bases covered in that regard. No one is talking about much more than “that trailer before Transformers”. I don’t think they could ask for anything more.
At least one good thing about the article……he doesn’t once refer to it as Godzilla.

A giant rat? that would be like one of those low budget japanese movies with the toy monsters and cities and the voice over engilsh for the japanese people lol
I’m trying to be so nice with the people that talk about shit that’s a month old (eg: Ethan Haas, Godzilla, et al.) but it’s so fucking hard.
I’m starting to get really bitter with people, and to the point where this movie is starting to get on my damn nerves. :9
