Let's assume for two seconds the movie featured a flying monster (which contradicts all evidence that the monster is aquatic). Said monster would be added in via CGI after the fact. A real life set pic would simply show the sky was empty. It isn't like they'd actually create a working flying monster for the movie, especially on the relatively low budget of 30 million dollars. Still, this had people going for a while, even with the poor photoshopping of the Slusho sign into the image.
