Hey guys, this is Ray. I’m a sophomore at Virginia Tech and being at college I have a lot of free time so hopefully I can be a long time contributor here. I will start with a bit of older news. On slusho.jp the happy talk section has been updated with brand new quotes. Two of which are quite interesting. One of them mentions a story about a whale who swam up the Thames River in England. This, is in fact, a real story that occurred over a year ago. In that same quote the girl asks if they have Slusho in London. The speculation that rises from this would be, does the monster attack all over the world in port cities? We don’t know of course. The other quote is just simply “BLOOP.” I am not sure if you guys are familiar with the bloop story:
In 1997 NOAA detected an ultra low frequency underwater sound in the southpacific ocean. It has been said that this sound would have to be from an animallarger than a blue whale. Its interesting. Before I get into some hardcore rumors, I would like to say something about previous post about rageofthegods.com. I really think that this has NOTHING to do with the movie. A guy over on the IMDB boards said that there is an RPG game coming out September ‘08 called “Fallout 3″ that is probably linked with this website. On rageofthegods there is a date 9/15/08 which would correlate with that. The game is a post nuclear simulation from what the official site says. I really don’t know why people would think ‘rage’ would be related anyway considering there is a rat on the main page and God forbid if ‘our own monster’ is a giant rat. I think I can safely say - that site is debunked.
Well, that brings me to the rumor that 1-18-08 will not only include a giant monster, but raptor like creatures that chase the people and eat them. I found this on the following websites: darkhorizons.com and dreadcentral. I cannot tell you if these sites are credible because I simply do not know. I do know however that the fellas over at slashfilm have said there are no raptor-like creatures: slashfilm.com. From what I have read before, slashfilm is more credible than other movie websites. All three of these posts have been put up in the last day or two so it is interesting how all 3 have sources that are saying different things. In my personal opinion, I have no idea. Part of me wants to say that if the movie will focus more on the characters, there will be raptor like things. If it doesn’t then it will just be one big monster. It all depends on what kind of movie our boy JJ wants to make. I think I will end it there. Thanks for reading! Let me know what you think!

Hey Ray hope you can provide us with good info because right now stuff is slow. Um on the Raptor like creature part, Cloverfield news.com had said that most websites had dismissed that as being a possibility in the movie and that whole story that they posted on the internet was false just to let you know. And slashflim had dismissed it as well recently like maybe a few days ago. About the Rageofthegods thing, I had said a LONG time ago that it had nothing to do with the movie but people keep thinking that it does because it was posted here but its good to know you think the same thing as I do. Oh and Jerry( a member on this site) claims that the quotes on slusho JP website are just emails that people write to the slusho people. I dont know what to believe but i have to admit he might have a point and then again he may not. Good post tho, keep em coming even if it was old news
OH and now alot of people are hooked onto this idea about ROTG’s being part of the movie and now people think a Giant rat is the monster. Well PLEASE LISTEN TO ME, THE MOVIE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GIANT RATS LOL ok i just thought i would say that because even after alot of people debunked the website people still come on the ROTG’s post and talk about Giant Rats and its really getting annoying
I think it is coming to the point that because there is no new official news, people are starting to believe anything. Their common sense is running on empty and any little thing they find, they will run with it. If people still think it is a giant rat, I would like to know the last time they heard a rat roar and throw things. It is simply absurd. To be honest, I didn’t know what to think about the rage site a week ago. However, once I heard about that Fallout game, it was easy for me to dismiss it. JJ needs to give us something soon and it doesn’t have to be a major thing. It can just be a hint or tip so people can have something to chew and study.
Well guys, the 1-18-08 website is now directing you straight to paramount. Is there an update coming? I hope so.
One reason I believe that Happy Talk quotes are our emails is that Slusho! is inconsistent post to post or quote to quote.
Some are written slusho. Others are posted as slusho! And some are SLUSHO! It seems to me that if these were written by the operators of the site itself, they would be posted the way it’s written all over the rest of the site.
The thing I don’t understand about that is are the quotes people are emailing in going through moderators or something? I just don’t understand the process. Are the emails going straight to happy talk from unknown people who just decided to send random things in?
I doubt rage of the gods has anything to do with Fallout 3. The Fallout games have a very recognizable art style which is nowhere to be found on the site. Also a game more than a year from release would NEVER have an exact release date… heck game dates are questionable if announced a few months ahead of time :D

Well, according to what I read, people started having problems around 3pm thursday and I came back home at 6pm. For about an hour it was not working for me, then around 7pm it went back to its original form.

Yes Jason we know that website sends you to the underwater sounds but nothing has been proven about those sounds. and the bloop sound i dont think has anything to do with the movie or with a giant underwater monster.
OK, I set off to completely debunk rageofthegods so I headed over to the unfiction forums. They revealed that the website had been:
-Created March 18, 2007 - a full 3 months before the trailer and slusho.jp.
-It is not registered under Paramount but rather Wild West Domains.
-’Rage’ will expire in a year but the official ones expire after 2.
-It is hosted by godaddy.com and the official ones are not.
-It was discovered randomly by someone who left a comment on a cloverfield news blog.
-It did not begin changing until everyone found out about it.
I guess I will throw this in here too. From my research, rage of the gods is some sort of move in the video game God of War. It is also interesting God of War II came out 3/13 and the website was created 3/18.
that sounds like a good debunk to me seeing as god of war is all about the Mythical greek gods and stuff like that. I just wish that newcomers to this site would take the time to think about stuff before they read it and start going hysterical over news that they dont even know is true or not

OMG, i was totally at the movies to see TRANSFORMERS, and there was this preview just before it…i was like, totally, OMG, i like, gotta know what that is…luckily APPLE had the HI-RES version of the trailer, ’cause i’m like a real purist, and need to, you know, really see what it is that i’m seeing, you know? i started looking around, and i found this ETHAN HAAS guy, and his disciple VAN MANTRA…and, wow there’s a gamesite for this guy (which is wicked kewl, BTW, does anybody have any hints for the 2nd puzzle? thats just too hard for me)…and the skyline in the background, yup, you guessed it, NYC all smashed up!!! so i started thinking, MANTRA, MANTA, MANTA RAY…its gotta be a sea monster, so i started looking for sounds of sea monsters online and found something called BLOOP. it sounds just like the ROAR in the trailer, well, not the one called BLOOP, but the one called SLOWDOWN, its on the same page, so its still like totally the same thing, right? i mean, i know they slowed the taped sound down 16 times to even make it sound like anything, but its like totally the same thing. JJ ABRAMS might have created SURVIVOR & TWIN PEAKS, but he’s not going to get this one past me…i’m on to him.

so, i like totally saw this wicked kewl t-shirt in the trailer, on like…my 68th time watching it frame by frame…SLUSHO, wicked kewl…so i went to search for that, and i found a site, slusho.jp, but since its from japan, i don’t think its part of this game…but i did find SLUSHOZOOM.COM, and thats total in it. “THINGS ARE NOT WHAT THEY APPEAR” hidden in the back ground…HELL YEAH, and there’s a link in the BATHROOM sign, for a donation, it was only $.25, but we all know the budget on this movie is really small, so i’m sure if we all put in our quarters, we can get a really wicked picture of CHTULU…maybe if we all donate twice he’ll have extra tenticals…KICK ASS. then, i was really desperate for more information (i still haven’t gotten past the 3rd HAAS puzzle, thanks DORKMAN112 for the help on the 2nd one, anybody w/ help please let me know)…and while i’m looking for help, i find this guy BRAD…he’s a FREAKIN GENIOUS…like, he has this site, 1-18-08NEWS.COM…OMFG, he even has video’s posted to walk us through this.

This rage of the gods stuff is crazy. This is starting to make sense. There are a lot of rats in NYC. Maybe one of the rats drinks some tainted slusho or something and destroys the city. The number 1 + 18 + 08 = 27 which is divisible by 3. The 3 windows on the rage of the gods site. 9 (9X3=27) is the number of main characters. Rob, the other 6 people on the myspace, the giant rat monster (named Monstrous), and slusho. 9 is also an inverted 6.

Now it seems like it’s dissolving in water, like NYC after or before the ramapage, IDK… I think it’s changing because it’s not a rat, I mean, it’s a rat, but mutated! Umm…I know rotg has nothing to do with this movie. I have been reading this page (and others for months). I was trying to be funny, guess it didn’t come off that way. No one took my “I saw it, it’s alive, it’s shoes” so seriously. Guess I am not as leet as you guys. Well folks. Have a good weekend.
i have 2 theories, legit, about the monster. both are single monsters, the first is it will be not be a lizard, but more of an amphibian….the obvious trail in the water in the poster leads to swimming, quite quickly and/or being of large size. has to be big to rip off and toss SOL head too.
2nd, still a single monster, but of flight. the trails in the water (from the poster) could as easily been made be a low flying item across the water…more of a dive bombing action, possibly gaining speed to use the SOL head more like a missle on a jet.
i don’t think the roar of the monster means squat. its JJ’s baby, its not real, so it could be anything and make any noise. that stuff about not being a squid or deep see creature because they don’t have the fluid sac to create noise is crap for the same reason…THIS ISN’T A REAL ANIMAL!!!!!!! it can be anything, sound like anything, and act like anything JJ wants it to.
i think the best ending of the movie, would be to pan back to the military personel in full biohazard garb mask and all, after viewing the entire handicam version of events, and finding out that the people viewing the recording are aliens or offspring of the monster, that are assymilating to be human, and will move inland to take over more cities.

there is something different about that roar on the website and the one in the movie trailer, the one on the website sounds like its cleaned up and more high pitched and the roar from the movie sounds deeper and more scary lol but wow i wonder if that means we will be getting a monster pic up soon?

slashfilm is a terrible website, even aintitcool.com is more reliable than slashfilm. Darkhorizons is a very good website, as well as Dread Central. I’ll believe them over slashfilm any day.
OK Nionix, I did some research on those three websites. Quantcast.com offers rankings of websites as well as information about the type of audience that visits there. The rankings are as follows:
Slashfilm: 8,977
Darkhorizons: 24,695
Dreadcentral: 153,572
Now, I myself never said slashfilm was the best. Every message board I have been on has said slashfilm is the more credible website so that is what I went with. Analyzing the audience data, slashfilm and darkhorizons are by far the websites that feature an audience with a higher education. Darkhorizons has an edge by a little bit. I do not know where you get your information telling you which is a better website, but I would be glad to hear it. In the meantime, none of those websites are credible enough to make things official so I will wait till JJ says something.
I posted on the IMDB boards to see what people thought is the more credible website and so far the vote is Slashfilm-2 Dreadcentral-1 Darkhorizons-0.
This is interesting, because in the Lovecraft’s mythos, the area that the real world BLOOP occured in in the area where the Cuthulu (sp) island is supposed to rise. So if the BLOOP is a tie in (and it could just be bloop for the sake of bloop), but it would heavily tie in lovecraft.
You can listen to the bloop if you search for it online, the government organization actually has a copy of it on the internet.
